Publication date: 24.04.2024
Anna and Anna teamed up with BEWI’s design team to create a 3D model and then produced a full-scale prototype through milling; the ‘Buggi’ was born. The furniture was developed in collaboration with experts and children aged 3 – 6 for both play and relaxation. Buggi is designed to assist and support children with their various needs and can be adapted across the child’s activities throughout the day; to be used actively, for relaxation or as a prop for play to enhance motor and physical skills.
“ARPRO seemed like the best material to make the Buggi from” commented Anna, “We were attracted by the sustainability aspects of ARPRO; having a low CO2 footprint and the ability to recycle the Buggi at the end of life. The versatile structural strength, being lightweight and the ability to absorb multiple impacts made ARPRO a perfect fit for the Buggi”
The students are in discussions with a company to collaborate with for sales and distribution.
